Services will be held for Minister SFC Stanley D. "Jody" Cuthbertson age 40, of Bluefield, WV, who departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at UVA in Charlottesville, VA. He was born March 1, 1977 in Morganton, NC and the son of Barbara A. Cuthbertson Patton of Bluefield and Stanley Kincaid of Beckley.  He was a 1995 graduate of Freedom High School in Morganton and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After accepting his calling into ministry, he pastored in Anniston AL.  While being stationed in Hawaii, he attended college and later at Bluefield State.  For the past several years, he served as an associate minister at Scott St Baptist in Bluefield.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Ayanna and both maternal and paternal grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He leaves treasured memories to his devoted mother, Barbara and father, Stanley; three sons:  Donjrey, Isaiah and Mikah; three brothers:  Rafeal, John and Ravon; his special nephews and nieces; aunts, uncles and cousins; best friend, Corey Bunch and Scott St. Church family.  Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Scott St. Baptist 600 Scott St., in Bluefield, with the Rev. Garry Moore, officiating.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.  Interment on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St John's Church Cemetery, 7909 US Highway 70 E, Nebo, NC, where visitation will be held at 2:00 - 2:30 p.m., and military rites will be performed. Family will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.
