Nadine Cobb

Mrs. Nadine Coleman-Cobb age 68, of Beckley, formerly of Berwind, who peacefully departed this life on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Greenbrier Medical Center in Ronceverte, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born April 7, 1949 in John's Branch, and the daughter of the late Jake Coleman and Ora Lee Tarrant. Nadine was a 1968 graduate of Big Creek High School and a member of the (former) Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Berwind.  She was an excellent cook and used her skills and talents as a cook at the Endwell Head Start and Berwind Junior High School.  In 1993, she moved to Beckley after living the greater part of her life in Berwind.  Nadine enjoyed life, listening to music and was known for her melodious singling voice.  Her warm smile and winning sense of humor endeared her to the hearts of many.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmom, Drucilla Coleman; one brother, Lemuel Jackson Jr., her twin sister, Ernestine; two former husbands, Charles White Sr., and Enoch "Bubbles" Bouyer, also her long time companion, Larry "Zeke" Brown. For almost a year, due to her battle with cancer, Nadine resided at White Sulphur Springs Nursing & Family Care Center in Ronceverte.  . She leaves many treasured memories to her daughters, Pamela E. (Richard K.) Getz of OK and Ernestine "Tena" (Matthew) Coleman-Dupree of VA; her grandchildren:  Christopher, Sienna, Twilight, Ayla and Darrion; great-granddaughter, Odessa; her husband, Savan Cobb; her siblings:  Grady Coleman, Russell Gail Wilson, Louise Andrews, Juanita Delynn(Steven) Webb, Sharron Y. Webb, Wesley C. Webb, Barbara W. Clark and Nedra (Jose') Haymons; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Berwind House of Prayer in Berwind, with the Rev. George Masterson, officiating.  Interment will follow in Hartwell Cemetery.  Family and friends will  serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, until time of Service.
