Paul Junior Holliday

Services for Paul Junior Holliday age 68, a life long resident of Gary and Thorpe, who departed this life early, on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.  He was born December 31, 1949 in Welch and the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Terrell) Holliday.  He was a graduate of Gary High School and of the Baptist Faith.  In earlier years, he was employed by Hairston Sanitation, the Council of Southern Mountains and had worked for U.S. Steel Coal mines.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers:  Andrew, Billy and the Rev.Weldon Holliday Sr.  Paul will be sadly missed by his brothers:  James (Mary) of Bethlehem, PA, Anthony (Kathy) and Demetrice G. (Minister Karen) Holliday both of Gary; two generations of nephews and nieces; his companion, Tammy Hamilton of the home and a host of other relatives and friends.  Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church 135 Court Street, in Welch, with the Rev. George Masterson presiding and the Rev. Ed Ogburn eulogist.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until time of Service at the Church.
