Anthony G. "AJ Brady" Dickerson Sr. age 31, who resided in Charleston and formerly of Keystone, departed this life at his residence, on Monday, March 25, 2019. He was born into the parentage of Renetta Suzanne Dickerson of Charlotte, NC and the late Charles Hill. He attended McDowell County Public Schools and was a devoted New England Patriots' fan. At an early age, he was baptized and became a member of Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Keystone, where he participated in several youth activities. He was formerly employed at Taco Bell, Wendy's and also McDonald's restaurants. AJ will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends as a fun loving, adventurous guy. He had a kind heart and believed in helping people in need. "To know him, was to love him." In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Adrianna Dickerson, and two infant cousins, Kyleigh Hurt and Mykel Cowans; his paternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles and other cousins. He leaves cherished memories to his mother, Renetta Suzanne and her fiance', Claude Collins of Charlotte; maternal grandparents, George and Virginia Dickerson of Kimball, maternal great-grandmother, Lula Payne of Charlotte; one son, Anthony "lil AJ" Dickerson Jr., of Bluefield; his siblings: Altavese (David) Jennings of Princeton, Chalese and Tashina London of Charleston, Mona Mack and Akeem Dickerson both of Bluefield, LeAndre' and Markese London and Darrell Mack all of Charleston and Josiah Spriggs of Princeton; his fiancee', Lexus Armbrester and son, Khorey Sayles of Charleston; his aunts: Georgetta Dickerson and Myesha (Robbie) Cowans both of Keystone, Inez (Isaah) Dodson of Kimball, Patricia Dickerson of Charlotte, Sylvia Hill and Frances Martin both of Keystone, Faye Hairston and Frances McLeod both of Winston-Salem, NC; uncles, Tony Dickerson of Keystone, Donald (Mildred) Dickerson of Bonham, TX, Richard (Audrey) Hill of Keystone, Curtis and Clarence Hill and Ahmad (Tarsheima) Watterson of Winston-Salem, Ronald Barnett of Kimball, Arnold (Adriann) Martin of Bluefield, George Martin of Bramwell and John Martin of Beckley; his godmother, Tamara Eubanks of Charleston; his special friend, Demarke Feaster of Charlotte; a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins; many nephews, nieces and friends who will miss him dearly. A Service in loving memory of AJ will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Mt Chapel Baptist Church 18 Suzanne Slaughter Avenue, in Keystone, with Pastor Kenneth Brown officiant, assisted by the Reverends, Harold Calloway, David Cooper and Evangelist Tamara Eubanks, . Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell. Pallbearers: Courtney Cole, Akeem Dickerson, Donald Dickerson, Demarke Feaster, Brandon Hickman, LeAndre' London, Markese London and Darrell Mack.
