Bryan Franklin Gustus a life long resident of Gary, WV, who departed this life on Wednesday, in Bluefield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bluefield, and the only son of Pamela D. Gustus of Gary and the late Czell Townsend. Bryan was raised in (the former) Mt. Harman Church of God in Thorpe and a 2004 graduate of Mount View High School. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid walker and a Mountaineers' fan. His pastimes were spent watching his favorite television game shows, the Westerns and he had many face book friends. He enjoyed attending the activities and Bible Study at the School for Life Center in Gary. Bryan was a "people person," had a great memory and took great pride in his penmanship. Also, he enjoyed listening to "old school music." In addition to his father, Czell, he was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents; his aunt, Shelia Corbett and uncle, Nathan "Bubba" Townsend. He leaves a life time of cherished memories to his mother, Pamela; two sisters, Yvette Ingram and Keisha (Damion) Mason both of Charlotte, NC; two uncles, John Gustus, of Columbus, OH and Kevin Corbett of Dayton, OH; nephew, Thomas "TC" Ingram and niece, Jayla Simmons; cousins: Angie and Ashley Townsend, Latasha (Ricco) Bonds, Latisha, Kidada and Kendra Collins, Chauncey Gustus and Dajaha' Corbett; special friends, James Hayes and Alicia Hayes; his Tug River Clinic Family and his School for Life Center extended Family; numerous friends near and far whose lives he touched. Bryan's Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at the School for Life Center (former Gary High School) 97 Coaldigger Street in Gary, with the Elder Anthony Blair, officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens 6605 New Hope Road, in Bluewell. Pallbearers School for Life friends, flower bearers, his cousins. Visitation on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the School for Life Center. "Don't cry because he's gone, smile because he was here."
