Carolyn Sue Ramsey Slone

Carolyn Sue Ramsey Slone, 56, of Williamson, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2019. She was born on October 10, 1962 in South Williamson, Kentucky to Barbara Ann Ramsey Towles.

She attended Matewan High School and faithfully attended Logan Street First Baptist Church where she devoted her time and service when and wherever needed.  

She was a caregiver to so many in the community and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and extended family.

She leaves cherished memories to a daughter, Maria Towles of Lexington, Kentucky; sister, Renata Towles of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Cornell “Gene” Ramsey of Wilks-Barre, Pennsylvania; step-brother, Michael (Mako) Towles of Dixon, California;  step-sisters, Ruth (Everette) Curry of San Bernadino, California; Dawnita (Andy) Anderson of Orlando, Florida; and Audrey (Vernon) Murrell of Lexington, Kentucky; granddaughters, Michaela and Kaia Brinker of Lexington, Kentucky; nephew, Trey Haman; and beloved aunts, Juanita Hooks and Marcella (General) Woods Jones both of Williamson, West Virginia; a special friend, Bob Bowman and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John F. Towles, Jr. and step-brother, John F. Towles, III.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Logan Street First Baptist Church in Williamson, West Virginia and officiated by Reverend Gerald Dotson, Pastor.  The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Pallbearers will be Wilbur Allen, Bob Bowman, George Childress, Henry Moore, Lawrence Wilkerson and Richard Wright. 

Services have been entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home.
