John Marvin Lester

John Marvin Lester age 36, of Roderfield, who departed this life on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Welch Community Hospital.  He was born May 13, 1982 in Charlottesville, VA, and the son of Sandra Lester Christian and John Henry Dotson.  After completing his education, he became a self employed contractor and was a member of Big Jenny Freewill Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands and listening to music.  John was preceded in death by his wife, Katrina; one sister, Heather, his grandparents and his stepfather, Andy Christian.  He is survived by his mother, Sandra of Princeton, his father, John of Twinbranch; his brothers:  Andrew Christian of Princeton, Jonathan (Amber) Dotson and Jordan Dotson both of Twinbranch and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   A Memorial Service for John will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Light House Church in Big Sandy with Pastor Charlotte England officiating.  "To Live In Hearts We Leave Behind, Is Not To Die."
