Mrs. Mary Wade, a resident of Westwood Nursing Center in Bluefield, VA; formerly of Keystone, who passed away on Wednesday at Westwood. She was born in Ridgeway, VA, and the daughter of the late Judith and John Henry Wooden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter C. Wade Sr., one sister, Henrietta Hairston and one brother, Goldsmith "Pete" Hairston. At an early age, she accepted the Lord and was blessed with a deep and abiding faith for the rest of her life. She was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church in Ridgeway, and after moving to WV, joined Wittico Presbyterian Church in Keystone. She was a honorary Mother of Life Purpose Ministries in Phoenix, AZ. She was a homemaker, a seamstress and a wonderful cook, with one of her specialties being sweet potato pies Those left to cherish her memory include one sister, Elizabeth Gravely, five nephews and five nieces; which includes two special nieces, Thelma Martin of Martinsville, VA and Mary Beck of Bluefield, VA, three step daughters, two stepsons and a godson, Michael Kinte Stewart of NC; her extended family and special caregivers: Carlotta Young, Samuel Young, Dorothy Bigelow and Vondelere Scott (her best friend) and family all of Keystone. Her Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 6605 New Hope Road, Bluewell, where entombment will follow. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
