Ms. Linda M. Ivy

Linda was a life long resident of Elkhorn, WV, who peacefully departed this life on Thursday  evening at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV.  She was born in Welch, WV and the daughter of Mrs. Janie (Edward) Patterson of Princeton and the late Robert Martin.  She completed her education in the McDowell County Public School System and was a member of Upland Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a choir member and served wherever needed.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Trevell Ivy; one grandson, Eugene Porterfield, Jr., her maternal grandparents, Ed and Emma Law and six of her siblings:  Michelle Ivy, Mario Ivy, Jerrod Ivy, Sabrina Kinzer, Don Anderson and Charles Martin.  Linda leaves a life time of cherished memories to her mother, her daughters, Tonisha Ivy of Morgantown, WV and LaTonya (Eugene Sr.) Porterfield of Princeton; her six grandchildren:  JaQuan, Indya, Jerrell, Asia, Kiara and Joshua; her siblings:  Eddie (Helen) Ivy of Charleston, WV,  Edward Ivy of Coppers Hill, WV, Jermaine (Shanee) Ivy of Axton, VA, Carlos Ivy of Princeton, Barbara (Micheal Sr.) Ward of Kimball, WV,  Tonya (Dante) Kelly of Douglasville, GA, Bryant Martin of Columbus, OH and Jessie Martin of Cincinnati, OH; a special aunt, Brenda (Morris) Marshall of Elkhorn; a host of uncles, other aunts, many cousins and two generations of nephews and nieces; her Church family and her best friend, Michelle Hargrave of Northfork, WV.  Linda's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Upland Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dane Moore, officiant., :  .  .
