Ms. Renetta S. Dickerson

Ms. Renetta Dickerson Obituary

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Renetta Suzanne  "Sue" Dickerson, a resident of Princeton, WV; formerly of Charlotte, NC and Keystone, WV, who peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, WV. Sue as she was affectionately known to many and Nette by others, was the daughter of George and Virginia Dickerson of Keystone.  She attended McDowell County Public Schools and the Little French Beauty Academy, where she mastered the trade of becoming one of the best hair designers in the City.  As some would say, "the girl was fierce when it came to braiding hair." At an early age, she was baptized and became a member of Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Keystone, where she participated in various youth activities.  She was employed for a number of years as a cashier for Exxon in Charlotte.  Sue/Nette will be remembered for her daily inspirational facebook posts that uplifted the spirits of many.  She will be lovingly remembered as being a caregiver, who gave her all to both Family and friends when needed.  She was preceded in death by her baby girl, Adrianna Michelle and her son, Anthony "A.J." Dickerson; an infant niece, Kyleigh Jade Hurt and infant nephew, Mykell Cowans; her maternal grandfather, Wilmer Payne; maternal great-grandparents, Ranzo and Evelyn Howell and paternal grandparents, David and Madeline Martin, also her namesake Suzanne Slaughter.  Those left to cherish her memory which includes; her parents, George and Virginia; her devoted daughter, Altavese and son-in-law, David Jennings, with whom she made her home and her son, Akeem Dickerson all of Princeton; her grandchildren:  Jakayla Matthews, Daniel and Faye Jennings,,Anthony Dickerson Jr.; and a granddaughter (due in January 2020), Adrianna Dawn; her siblings:  Georgetta Dickerson, Myesha (Robbie) Cowans and Tony Dickerson all of Keystone, Inez (Isaah) Dodson of Kimball, WV, Patricia Dickerson of Charlotte and Donald (Mildred) Dickerson of Bonham, TX; her maternal grandmother, Lula Payne of Charlotte; her aunts:  Hattie (Alphonso) Avery of Keystone, Ruth (Kenneth) Brown of Northfork, WV, Evelyn (Hugh) Hall and,Holly Maben both of Charlotte; her uncles, Melton (Donna) Maben of Winston-Salem, NC and Dennis (Sheila) Payne of Columbus, OH; her long time companion, Claude Collins  of Charlotte and her devoted best friend, Tamara Eubanks of Charleston; several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.  Service will be held at (noon)12:00 .p.m., on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Keystone, with Pastor Kenneth Brown officiating.  Entombment. will follow in Restlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until the time of Service.   Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
