Myrdis Louise Allen

Myrdis Louise Allen, 91 of Red Jacket, West Virginia passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on July 10, 1927 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Jimmy Richardson and Connie Ward Richardson. 

She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Red Jacket, West Virginia.  She was retired from Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. as a Housekeeping Manager.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Allen, Sr.; a daughter, Sheila Harrell; one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include four sons; Albert Allen, Jr. and Wilbert (Samantha) Allen both of Williamson, West Virginia; James (Mary) Allen of Hercules, California and Anthony Bryan (Sandra) Allen of Chesapeake, Virginia; a daughter, Connie (Michael) Windbush of Chesapeake, Virginia; three sisters; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren,  three great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Jean Hubbard.

Services will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Logan Street First Baptist Church in Williamson, West Virginia.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.  Reverend David Bell will officiate.  Pallbearers will be David Cook, Sr.,David Cook, Jr., Bob Horton, Fred Horton, Michael Johnson and David Sullivan.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia.
