Services will be held for Vincent M. Huff age 58, a resident of Cedar Grove, TN; formerly of Anawalt, who peacefully departed this life on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the comforts of his home. He was born May 14, 1960 and the son of the late Johnny Clifton and Priscilla (Bell) Huff. He attended the McDowell County school system in his early years, where he was an outstanding athlete in both football and track. After loosing his sight in 1976, he continued his education at the Romney School for the Deaf and Blind. He secured his Business Degree from Marshall University and received outstanding presidential honors from Senator Robert C. Byrd. Vincent landed his first job with the IRS in Atlanta, GA, where he worked for 16 years.
Vincent was an example to us all of what it means to trust in the Lord and persevere against all odds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Johnny C. and Dwight Huff. He is survived by his devoted siblings: Ronell Huff, Patricia (Jimmy) White, Norma Huff, Connie Williams, Velma (Kerford) Franklin, Mynetta (Leon) Hastings and Redia Leonard and a host of other close relatives and friends Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Mt. Bethel United Holy Church in Anawalt, with Elder Virginia Rucker officiating, and Elder Richard Fitzgerald presiding. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens 6605 New Hope Road, in Bluewell. Pallbearers: James Calloway, Donal Hastings, Alfred Johnson, Albert and Melvin Ross Sr. and Clarence White. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at the Church.
