Obituary

Adrian Dewayne King Sr., age 46 of Northfork, WV departed this life on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in the comforts of his home.  Adrian was born in Welch, WV on the 15th day of December, 1976.  His parents are Olympia King Braggs of Northfork and the late Larry Hickman.  Adrian AKA "Pee-wee," to his family and "Mega Fled," to friends completed his education at  Mount View High School.  After high school and for a number of years, he was employed at McDonald's Restaurant in Bluefeld, WV.  He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed listening to music.  In addition to his father, Larry, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, who helped raise him, Otis Adkins, his maternal grandparents, Robert King Sr. and Mary Jordan; a sister, Lanikki Adkins; four nephews:  Aquindae, Andre, Brian and Chris and one uncle, Samuel King.  Adrian leaves cherished memories to his mother, Olympia and her husband, Alfred Braggs; his children, Adrian D. King Jr., and Alijah D. King; his siblings:  Larry King and Troy King both of Bluefield, Tonya Lewis of Ohio and Veronica Baker of Bluefield; a host of aunts and uncles;  his nephews, nieces and cousins and his special companion, Jess.  Adrian's family has planned his Memorial Service for 12:00 noon on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Keystone, WV with Pastor Kenneth Brown Sr., officiating.  A private family viewing was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
