Delores Barnes Obituary

Mrs. Delores J. Rose Barnes age 87 of Coalwood, WV; formerly of Martinsville, VA who departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Welch Community Hospital in Welch, WV. Born on the 30th day of April, 1935 in Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Fannie (Altizer) Rose. After completing her education, she became a homemaker. Delores had lived in Martinsville the greater part of her life, before moving to Coalwood two years ago. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Barnes Sr., and three of her children: Everett B., Edward L. Jr., and John D. Barnes. She leaves many cherished memories to her devoted daughter, Wanda (Steve) Bowman and her devoted son, Sam Barnes both of Coalwood; several grand, great and great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, neighbors and friends. A private viewing was held on Wednesday for her Family. Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
