Devonna Marie Thorn

Devonna Marie Thorn, of Williamson, West Virginia was born February 7, 1957 at Williamson Memorial Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Billy and Norma Jean Gray Thorn.  She graduated from Williamson High School and loved her community.  She would give her last to anyone and had the biggest heart.  She enjoyed being there for all people. 

Devonna passed away at Williamson Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 21, 2020.  She was loved by all and leaves a multitude of family, friends and loved ones that will continuously celebrate her life.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Thorn and sisters Barbara "Tuggie" and Delores Thorn.

She leaves cherished memories to her brothers; Eugene (Judy) Thorn of Williamson, West Virginia and Irvin Thorn of Germany, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home.

Devonna said goodnight to her family
and goodnight to loved ones.
She said good morning because she was tired
and wanted to rest.
She said "Father take my hand
and lead me to my new home.
Because I have been sending up my timbers
because I am tired of this old building
I've got to move to a better place."
Family, I'm going on a trip
We will all meet again in our Father's home
because this house of mine
does not need no nails or lumber.
Building on a Holy foundation"

Oh, what happy times it will be
no more pain, no crying just happiness and love.
Because I will never walk alone
because my father also walks with me.
Family, don't worry, I'm in good hands
with my Father's everlasting love.
