Donna L. Braggs-Davis

Mrs. Donna Lavon Braggs Davis age 63 of 1029 Mountain Road in Charleston, West Virginia; formerly of  both Northfork and Maybeury, West Virginia, who completed her earthly assignment on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.  Donna was born in Welch, West Virginia on the 31st day of December, 1958 and one of eleven children born to Beulah and John Braggs Sr.  She was a 1978 graduate of Northfork High School and a life long member of Lovely Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Kimball, West Virginia.  In earlier years, Donna had worked at the Rite Aid Store in Northfork and at Kroger's in Bluewell, West Virginia.  Donna was a homemaker and a homebody and while able, enjoyed cooking and housekeeping.  She had a heart for serving others and was a faithful Usher at her Church. She loved her Family and her two sons were her heartbeat. She was known as "the life of the party," as laughter and joy filled the atmosphere whenever she entered the room.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. and Beulah and one sister, Dianna.  Donna leaves cherished memories to her husband, Lamont Davis of the home and two sons, Joseph Braggs of Beckley, West Virginia and David Braggs of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; her eight siblings: Arthur of Bluefield, Virginia, Litchfield of Charleston, Alfred (Olympia) and John Braggs Jr., both of Northfork; Alberta Pearson and Audrey Braggs both of Detroit, Michigan, Therneda (Dennis) Smith of Columbia, South Carolina, Cecelia (Jeffrey) Hairston of North Wilkesboro and her devoted caregiver for the past four years, Mary Lacy of Charleston; several grandchildren; one uncle, Caldwell (Tootie) Robinson of Pennsylvania; many nephews, nieces and cousins; other relatives and friends.  Mrs. Davis' Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Lovely Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Robert Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, West Virginia. Her Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.   Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
