Estella Rochelle Brooks-Miller

Ms. Estella Rochelle Brooks-Miller age 62 of 596 Brown Bear Hollow Road in Northfork, WV, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.  She was born December 18, 1959 in Welch, WV into the loving parentage of the late James Sr. and Loretta (Gentry) Brooks.  Rochelle had lived in the Northfork area her entire life and was a 1979 Graduate of Northfork High School.  Over the years, she had worked at both the K Mart and Wal mart Stores in Kimball, WV, Grants Supermarket in Bluefield, WV and was last employed as the Manager at J&L Diner in Keystone, WV.  Rochelle was a long time member of Uprising Chapel in Rolfe, WV, where she enjoyed helping with the children's holiday plays.  Rochelle had a "heart of gold,"  always considering others before herself.  She was a great cook, but enjoyed her sister, Kathryn's chicken salad and pineapple dip. She was a great Sister, Aunt and a "Mom" to many.  Dancing with the Stars was one of her most favorite television programs.  In addition to her parents, James Sr., and Loretta, Rochelle was preceded in death by four of her brothers:  James Jr., Roger, John W. and Ricardo Brooks and one sister, Marlene "Molly" Brooks.  Rochelle leaves a life time of cherished memories to her Companion of 26 years, Lindsey N. "Nate"  Bethel; two daughters, April (Steven) Leggett and Loretta Huckleberry both of Princeton, WV; her devoted siblings:  Kathryn (husband, Lee deceased)  Jennings of Northfork, Michael (Tara Hairston) Brooks of Keystone, Darlene (Alvester "Butch" McConnell Jr.)  Brooks of Princeton, Vain (Jim Jenks) Colby of Bluefield, WV and a special sister, Pam (Sidney) George of Elkhorn, WV; three grandchildren:  Brandon Brooks, Ashanti Leggett and Sasha Leggett; her special niece, Asia Brooks; two god-children, Rashawn and Royalty Brooks; several generations of nephews, nieces and cousins; other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Uprising Chapel in Rolfe with Pastor Donna Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV.  Pallbearers will be her Nephews.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
