Gavin J. Barnes Sr.

Gavin Jerrod Barnes Sr., ages 40, resided at 641 Court Street in Welch, WV and departed this life on Friday, April 28, 2023 in the comforts of his home.  He was born March 10, 1983 in Welch and the son  of the Frederick A. Barnes Sr., of North Carolina and the late Terry D. Caldwell Barnes.  He completed his education and began discovering life and his career.  He had a quiet, gentle spirit and enjoyed spending time with his Family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and several other relatives.  Gavin will be lovingly remembered by his children:  DeAndre, Ashaundaya, Malayah, Kyre, Samaire and Gavin J. Barnes Jr., his devoted siblings:  William Caldwell, Fredrick and Booker Barnes, Angelikia and Deahanna Preston and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.  A Private Family Memorial Service was held for Gavin on Friday, May 12, 2023. Services for Gavin were entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home.  The Family thanks those who showed any acts of kindness during the passing of their beloved, Gavin.
