Gloria L. Page

Mrs. Gloria L. Swanson-Page age 89, who departed this life early, on Monday, August 15, 2022 in the comforts of her home in Columbus, OH. The daughter of the late James R. Swanson Sr., and Thurma Mae Agnew Swanson who resided in Worth, WV when she was born on the 1st day of December, 1932.  She attended Bluefield State College from 1950 until 1954 and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.  After moving to Keystone, WV, she joined Mt. Chapel Baptist Church and was a member of the Keystone Homemakers Club.  She enjoyed watching the old black and white movies on TCM and working crossword puzzles.  Her most favorite movie was Mrs. Doubtfire and her most favorite entertainers were Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1993 by her husband, Nathaniel Page; one brother, James R. Swanson Jr., and her sister-in-law, Mary E. Avery.  Mrs. Page will be lovingly remembered by her daughters:  Dollie M. Swanson Piper, Glenda L. Swanson, Annette Y. Page Uddin, Ziva R. Page, Tanya M. Page Cousins and the daughter of her heart, Mary H. Beck; her stepson, Richard N. Carter; her special cousins, Carol Agnew Peoples and Randall Wright; her three granddaughters, which includes; her special long time caregiver,  Alia S. Swanson, Arania M. Page Greene and Zantasia R. Page and six grandsons:  Clarence E Piper Jr., Michael L. Piper, Andre Piper, Rodrick L. Woods, Justin Ramel Woods and Tristan J. Swanson; many great-grandchildren, which includes; special great-grands:  TaiRhon and Sha'Taihya Swanson, Elijah and Elexis Vinegar, Josiah Carpenter and Jordan Greene, RJ  and Ro'Mahni Woods and Na'Mya Wiseman and a host of other devoted relatives.   A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV with the Reverend George Masterson officiating.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
