Gregory L. Wilkins

Gregory Lee "Wiz" Wilkins age 50, of Kimball, West Virginia departed this life on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Welch Community Hospital.  Greg was born November 23, 1972 in Welch, West Virginia and the son of Sharon Wilkins of Kimball and the late Charles Minnis Sr.  Greg was a 1992 graduate of Mount View High School where he excelled in football.  At a young age, he became a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Kimball and was a self-employed handy man.  Greg never met a stranger and had a heart to help others in need.  He was very talented and known for his cheerful outlook on life.  In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lula M. Murrell who helped raise him; his brother Charles Minnis Jr., and his paternal grandparents.  Greg will be greatly missed by his mother, Sharon; his wife, Kimberly M. Wilkins of North Carolina; his children:  Andre Hale and Tanisha Hale both of North Carolina; Makayla Wilkins of Wyoming, Oregon and Angelina Collier of Kimball; his devoted siblings:  Michael (Amanda) Wilkins of (Carswell Hollow) Kimball, West Virginia, Monica (Reverend Emmanuel) Donaldson of Anderson, South Carolina, Cory Wilkins of Kimball and James Minnis of Virginia; his three grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces; his many cousins and friends. Greg loved taking care of his pets, his most favorite was his dog, Coco.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Gregory Lee Wilkins at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Kimball, with his brother-in-law, the Reverend Emmanuel Donaldson officiating.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road, in Bluewell, West Virginia.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
