James Hosley, Jr.

James ‘Jimmy’ Hosley, Jr., 69, was born on July 28, 1953 in Goody, Kentucky.  He departed this life on April 27, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital, in Huntington, West Virginia.   He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Goldie McMillan Hosley and one brother, Are’ Nathaniel McMillan. 

Jimmy graduated from Williamson High School and worked as a brakeman early in his life on the N & W Railroad, but spent the majority of his career as an independent brick mason.  Jimmy loved life and spent his time with family and friends. 

Jimmy leaves cherished memories to his sisters, Brenda Hosley (Peoria, Arizona) and Nancy Hosley Christian (Sissonville, West Virginia); brother, Robert Michael (Rick) Hosley (Williamson, West Virginia); son, James Lee Hosley (Williamson, West Virginia); sister-in-law, Bernadette McMillan (Hebron, Indiana); four grandchildren; a special long-time friend, Melissa Stanley (Williamson, West Virginia), who also was his caregiver; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Williamson Church of God in Williamson, West Virginia, Earl Coleman Pastor and Officiant.  Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.  Pallbearers will be Dwayne Caudill, Tim Chambers,  Bruce Moorer, Darrell Stevens and Joey Stone.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, West Virginia.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home.
