Ms. Jessie Mae Younger age 65 of Maybeury, WV; formerly of Kyle, WV peacefully departed this life in the comforts of her home on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born in Welch, WV on the the 5th day of September, 1957 into the very loving parentage of Jesse Edward and Inez (Patterson) Younger. Jessie was a graduate of Northfork High School, Class of 1977 and was last employed as a cashier, at the Family Dollar Store in Northfork, WV. She was a life long member of Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Keystone, WV where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and Choir member. Jessie loved the Lord, attending Church, her family and loved ones. She was the ideal daycare provider, as she genuinely loved children and they all adored her. In her free time, Jessie enjoyed watching movies and game shows and was known for her culinary skills. She was preceded in death by her parents, Deacon Jesse and Inez Younger; her maternal grandparents, Eddie and Mary P. (Mansfield) Patterson and paternal grandparents, Dave and Georgia O. Younger. Jessie will be remembered for her very kind, beautiful caring spirit. She was the beloved second sister of Marlene M. Norfleet of Charlotte, NC, Mary (Ricky) Younger-Harmon. with whom she made her home and Donna F. Younger of Maybeury. She was a wonderful aunt to her nephews: Jeffrey (Dawn) Younger, Niikai Norfleet and Terrance Norfleet; several great-nephews, one great-niece and several generations of cousins; her stepmom, Betty Younger of Maybeury and her three uncles: James Younger of Garner, NC, William Younger of Northfork and Edward (Janie) Patterson of Princeton, WV; her special sisters: Kim, Lynn, Gwen and Kenya; her "special six" children whom she last cared for and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Jessie Mae Younger at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Keystone, with Pastor Kenneth Brown Sr., officiating assisted by: the Reverend Dr. Jonetta Carter, Deacon James Flynn and Deacon Payton Flynn. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV. Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of Service at the Church.
