Mrs. Geraldine Gravely

Mrs. Geraldine Gravely, a life long resident of Kimball, WV, who peacefully departed this life on Monday, July 27, 2020, in the comforts of her home, was born September 17, 1926 in Havaco, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Ethel (Brooks) Tucker and was raised in Elkridge, WV.  After completing her education, she became a homemaker and had worked for several years at the Kimball Sewing Factory.  She joined Miracle Mt. Carmel Church of God in Kimball after the closing of Mask Chapel Church in Vivian, WV.  Mrs. Gravely loved the Lord, her Family and friends and enjoyed both shopping and traveling.  She was the last surviving member of her original family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George W. Gravely; one son, Jeffery Gravely; her sister, Jeanine (Elmer) Gwynn and her sisters-in-law, Lillie (John) Bushnell and Roberta Gravely.  She will be lovingly remembered as being the spiritual leader and the inspiration to her children:  Jacqueline (Joseph)  Gravely Holland, Rita Y. Gravely, Darnell W. Gravely, Michael G. Gravely, Maurice E. (Brenda) Gravely, Leon S. Gravely and Tracy A.Gravely; her eight grandchildren:  Stephanie Reed, Monica, Brittany, Alvin, LaDarius Sr., Sierra, Courtney and Isaiah Gravely; seven great-grandchildren:  Amaya, Anazia, Zarien, Aleia, Jocelyn, LaDarius Jr. and Damaris; a host of nephews and nieces; other relatives, her Church family and  caregivers, Ardinya Bryson and April Elick.   Mrs. Gravely's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Miracle Mt. Carmel Church of God in Kimball, with the Ruling Elder Anthony J. Bell, eulogist and Pastor Anthony Blair, presiding.  Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV.  Her family will serve as both pall bearers and flower bearers.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until the time of Service at the Church.
