It is with profound sadness that the Family announces the passing of Mrs. Peggy A. Bobbitt and Pearl Wilkes Bobbitt.  She received her formal education at Gary District High School.  In 1952, she married Minister Leodis B Cloyd.  She was very active and a lifelong member of New Bethel Church in Gary, WV.  She loved God and served as President of the Missionary Department of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in West Virginia for many years.  She will be deeply missed for her countless missionary services that she provided for families during their times of convalescence and grief. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and seven of her siblings:  Carl Jr, William, John, Arnett, Onetha, Ted, and Donald.  She will be missed by her son, Leodis B. “Lucky” (Libby) Cloyd Jr. of Hoover, AL, and daughter Rayna L (Sylton) Hurdle of Valinda, CA and her four grandchildren: Sean Hurdle, Briton Hurdle, Danielle Cloyd, and Evan Hurdle and two great-grandchildren, Issac Elijah Hurdle-Ramirez and Elenna Sofia Hurdle and a host of nephews and nieces and Church family.    Due to the ravages of Covid-19, the Services will be private. Those who so desire in lieu of flowers, the Cloyds ask that any heartfelt donations be sent to New Bethel Church of Our Lord JESUS CHRIST of the Apostolic Faith, P. O. Box 728, Gary, WV 24836, Attention:  Minister Alphonso Dalton, in memorial to Peggy Bobbitt Cloyd.  “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing.”  (II Timothy 4:7-8)  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch, WV, (to leave online condolences:  gregory-pagefh.com.)
