Ms. Reginia F. Simmons

Ms. Reginia F. Simmons age 66, a resident of Bluefield, VA; formerly of Gary, WV, who departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV.  She was born August 17, 1954 in Welch, WV and the daughter of the late Bernice Cummings.  Reginia was a graduate of Anawalt High School.  For many years, she was employed by the McDowell County Board of Education as a cook at Gary Elementary School.  Later she was employed by Mountain Heart Daycare in Princeton, WV.  She was a life long member of Miracle Mt. Carmel Church of God in Kimball, WV, where she was a member of the Choir.  In addition to her Mother, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pearl, two brothers, John and Robert "Fats" (Juanita) Cummings and a great niece, Melah Abbington.  She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Constance Simmons (Robert Wade) of Bluefield, WV and her special children:  Thomas King, Angela Potter and Marshall Crawford all of Bluefield, WV, Faith Tarter and Sherdina Stepney both of North Carolina; one brother, Alfred H. Cummings of Louisville, KY and her sister, Margaret and husband, Melvin Carr of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren:  Alexia Simmons  (Deliezha Gravely), Ebony Brown, Essence Brown, Jerome Brown (Tayloar Candler) and Jadean Smith; her great-grandchildren:  Miamor Simmons, Tamarious Brown, Ezekiel  Brown, Elijah Greene, Jamaine Todd, Ian Price, Antonia Padgett, Zion, Zimyrah and Zauree Crawford;  a host of nephews, nieces and cousins; her special friends:  Brenda Kelsor, Overseer Anthony J. Bell, Betty Wylie, Castella Dickerson, Guy Hall and Prophetess Nell Stevenson.  Ms. Simmons' Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Miracle Mt. Carmel Holiness Church of God in Kimball, WV, with Overseer Anthony J. Bell, eulogist and Pastor Anthony Blair, presiding.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV.  Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch (to leave online condolences:  gregory-pagefh.com.)   Please be fully aware and abide with the State of WV and CDC guidelines during the COVID -19 Pandemic; which still requires face masks to be worn  by the unvaccinated and social distancing be observed, should you wish to attend the visitation or the Service.   .
