Pernie Brown Obituary

Mrs. Pernie "Pearl" Williams-Brown age 65, a long time resident of Havaco, West Virginia, departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2024 in Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia, following illness. 

Pernie was born on November 27, 1958 in Welch, West Virginia and the daughter of Alma Kelly and Paul and Susie (Clark) Williams.  She completed her education at Gary High School and became a wife, mother and homemaker.  In earlier years, she attended Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Havaco.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

Pernie was preceded in death by her parents:  Alma Kelly and Paul and Susie Williams; four of her siblings:  Alfred Kelly, Mary Safford, Nora Alston, Mikhael O. Williams Sr., and Shelby Martin Smalls and a special aunt, Delia Gentry.

Pernie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth J. Brown Sr., of the home and their three children:  Bridgit Brown (her fiance', Corneal Cooper) of Birmingham, Alabama, Kennethy J. (Breanna) Brown of Havaco, and Delia Brown of Bluefield, Virginia; her four grandchildren:  Sharnelle, Walter, Ariel and Kenneth; her three siblings:  Charles Williams, Beverly Martin Crenshaw and Leslie Martin all of Bluefield, West Virginia; her brothers-in-law:  Buford (Wilma) Brown and Darryl (Margaret) Brown both of Havaco and Harold Brown of Gary, West Virginia; her sisters-in-law:  Tina Williams of Mooresville, North Carolina, Carol Neely of Merrillville, Indiana and Sharon Brown of Raleigh, North Carolina; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins; her best friend, Deborah (Connie Mack) Bell of Roanoke, Virginia; many other relatives, neighbors and friends.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Mt. Zion Church of Christ, 78 Little Egypt Road in Havaco, West Virginia   Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, West Virginia.  Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.   

Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch, West Virginia.
