Philip Buxton "Boo" Eldridge III., age 52 of Welch, WV, departed this life on Friday, June 9, 2023 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Philip AKA "Boo," was born on the 7th day of August, 1970, into the very loving parentage of Philip B. Jr., of Welch and the late Charlene V. Tuning Eldridge. Boo was born and grew up in Welch. He was a graduate of Mount View High School, had attended Concord College and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. As a youth, he became a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Welch. Boo was last employed as a Manager at McDonald's Restaurant and had worked at Sav-a-lots Grocery Store both located in Welch. He was an employee for a number of years, at the (former) Bluefield Beverage Company in Bluefield, VA, . Boo had a quiet, laid back personality and enjoyed watching all sports. His most favorite teams were MI University's Wolverines and the Washington Redskins' Commanders. Also, known, in his own rights, as "the Grill master." as he super enjoyed grilling. In addition to his mother, Charlene, Philip III., was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Lasting, loving memories remain with his father, Philip Jr. and his children: Desiree Cleage of Montana, Philip B. IV. and his wife, Chasity Eldridge of Roanoke, VA, Valise Eldridge, VaShon Eldridge and Xavier Eldridge all of Bluewell, WV; his only sister, Lady Elder Diane Eldridge-Holt and her husband, Pastor Kenneth of Pfafftown, NC; his granddaughter, Nyla Eldridge and longtime companion, Allison Freeman; one niece and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church 135 Court Street in Welch, with his brother-in-law, Pastor Kenneth Holt eulogist and Pastor George Masterson presiding. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the Church. Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers. Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
