Rachael Diane Claytor, age 65 a resident of Golden Harvest in Welch, who passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Golden Harvest.

She was born March 6, 1952 in Welch and the daughter of the late Allie M. and Hattie B. (Wimbish) Chatten.  She was raised in Hemphill, attended public schools and was of the Baptist faith.  After completing her education at Welch High School, she became a devoted wife and homemaker. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis; three siblings:  Al J. Chatten, Hattie E. Chatten and Syrethia Harris; several aunts and uncles.

Diane's sweet spirit and beautiful smile will be sadly missed by her brother, the Rev. Joseph (Roycene) Chatten of Southfield, MI, four sisters:  Fannie Baylor of Radford, VA; her devoted caregiver, Louise (Phil) Law, Rhonda (Alphonso III) Wray and LeDale Chatten all of Welch; two generations of nephews and nieces; several cousins and her extended family at Golden Harvest.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church 135 Court Street, in Welch, with the Rev. George Masterson, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest lawn Cemetery on Rt. 20, Littlesburg Road in Bluewell. 

 Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until time of Service on Tuesday, at the Church.
