Robert Leroy Church Jr.

Robert Leroy Church Jr., age 55 of Big Sandy, WV, who departed this life on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the comforts of his home, was born October 30, 1965 in Welch, WV.  He was the son of the late Robert E. "Bob" and Lucinda "Tootsie" (Hall) Church. In earlier years, he was known as an outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing.  He was an avid WV "Mountaineers" football fan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Billy Underwood and Steven Perkins; brother, Danny and sister, Joyce Church; grandparents:  David and Clarenda Hall and Bessie Short; several aunts and uncles.  He leaves treasured memories to his daughters:  Jessica (Bart Dillon) Muncy, Connie "Peb" (Shane Barton) Perkins, Sally (Dale) Walker and special niece,  Candace (Curt) Odell and his sons:  Robert D. (Misti), David (Misty), Eric (Annette) and Jonathan Church; brother, Harold E.C. Church and sister, Patricia "Sissy" (Tony Ciampanella) Church and a host of grand and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his uncle, Jerry (Teresa) Short and special family:  Becky (James) Mills, Vince Hughes, Tammy (Kenny) Christian and Kathy and Charles Ratliff.  A private family visitation was held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Funeral Home.  The Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Mr. Church's residence.  Interment 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Hensley Cemetery where he will be interred beside his parents.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
