Robert Edward Ward

Robert Edward Ward age 74, a life long resident of Roderfield, West Virginia, departed this life late on Monday evening, January 6, 2025 in Welch Community Hospital. 

Robert was born on March 18, 1950 in Welch, West Virginia and the son of Vennie L. Edwards Ward of Bluefield, West Virginia and the late James E. Ward.    

Robert was a member of (the former) Roderfield Holiness Temple Church.  He enjoyed watching television and listening to music.  In addition to his father, James Ward, Robert was preceded in death by two of his brothers, David and Raymond Ward.

Robert is survived by his mother,  Mrs. Vennie Ward; his siblings:  James A. "Booby" and his wife, Ninette Ward, his caregivers of Roderfield, Rosie N. and her husband, the Reverend Allen Hill of Charleston, West Virginia, Lydia J. and her husband,  Warren Parham of Frederick, Maryland,  Darrell L. Ward of Bluefield and Carolyn Stuart of Hurricane, West Virginia; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces and several generations of cousins.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Havaco Temple Baptist Church in Havaco with Reverend Kenneth L. Orr officiating.  Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, West Virginia.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.  Robert's Family will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
