Steven H. Law

Steven Henry  Law a resident of Elkhorn, West Virginia, departed this life on Monday, June 9, 2025 in Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, West Virginia.

Steven was born on the 15th day of September, 1960 in Welch, West Virginia and the son of Emma Ivy Law and William McCoy.  He was a graduate of Northfork High School.  In earlier years he was a member of Upland Baptist Church and later attended Little Rock Church of Christ in Algoma, West Virginia.  For a number of years, he lived in New York and was employed as a cook at the Holiday Inn Hotel Restaurant.  After returning home to Elkhorn, he had lived with his nephew, EJ.  The past several years, he lived at his original home place with his sister, Brenda and her husband, Morris, who became his caregivers.

Steven enjoyed his life to the fullest.  Watching television sports; especially his Pittsburgh Steelers and Oklahoma State teams and listening to his style of music.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma and father, William; three of his brothers:  George, James and Kenneth Law; two nephews, Jerrod and Mario Ivy; three nieces:  Robin Andrews, Michelle and Linda Ivy; a great-nephew, Trevell Ivy and great-niece, Keisha Ward. 

Steven leaves lasting memories to his seven siblings:  Moses (Ann), Marvin (Lisa), Tony, David (Tina) Law, Janie (Edward) Patterson, Cecilia Andrews, Brenda (Morris) Ivy-Marshall; his numerous McCoy siblings and a special niece, Barbara (Michael Sr.) Ward; three special great-nephews:  Jermaine, Edward and Carlos Ivy; a host of other relatives, whom he loved and loved him dearly; special friends:  Clyde Rucker,  Greg Gammon and Jeff Gammon.  

A Service in Remembrance of Steven H. Law will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Upland Baptist Church 9 Chapel Road in Elkhorn with Pastor Dane Moore presiding,  Pastor Jerome Powell eulogist, assisted by Reverend Tim Hairston and Minister Tony Law.  Visitation 10:00 AM until the hour of Service.  Interment 12:00 noon on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens 450 Courthouse Road in Princeton, West Virginia.
