Theaniel L. Davis Obituary

Theaniel L. Davis age 67, of Kyle, WV who departed this life on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Meadows Hospice House in Goochland, VA, was born on the 6th day of August, 1954 in Welch, WV.  He was the youngest of three children born to the late McKinley Sr. and Cora B. (Redd) Davis.  He was a graduate of  Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, FL and later was an honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Army.  For a number of years, he was a laborer with a Construction Company. He loved helping others and generously used the talents he was given.  He was known as  "Mr. Fix-it" by his family, friends and strangers; who were not strangers very long after meeting him.  Theaniel brought light, laughter and joy to anyone he came in contact with; especially to his family gatherings.  In addition to his father, McKinley Sr. and mother, Cora, he was preceded in death by his brother, McKinley Jr., and a grandson, Jordan M. Davis.  Thea/Dave as he was lovingly known will be greatly missed by his only sister and best friend, Idella Abramson of Kissimmee, FL; his daughter, Theandra Davis Lumpkin, his son, Stephon Singleton and  his grandchildren: Joseph Purnell, Shakeya, Azaria, Breyannna and Isaiah Singleton, Davion Jackson and Cyan Lumpkin;  one great -grandson, Shamar all of whom he loved dearly; his niece, Almarina Abramson and his nephew, Christopher Abramson; several generations of cousins; other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Life Service (family only in attendance) will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at  Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Kyle with the Reverend James Redd Jr., eulogist.  A (public) Revolving Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., until the time of Service. His family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.  Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch, (to leave online condolences:  gregory-pagefh.com.)  COVID protocol and the wearing of masks will be followed.
